The Third Annual Holy Smoke Bar-B-Que Showdown will be held again at the former football field west of the Holy Cross Abbey, on East Highway 50 in Cañon City, CO. Click Here for a map. The events will begin at 4:00 pm on Friday, June 11th and continue through the evening. See below for scheduled events and bands for the weekend. Saturday’s events will kick off at 8:00 am Saturday, June 12th, and will wrap up around 11 pm that night!

And the "Hot Diggity Dog" Weenie Dog Race is set for Saturday afternoon - this was the BIG draw at both the inaugural event in 2008, and the Second Running in 2009! We'll have the 2010 "Hot Diggity" Race information and entry forms available soon!

The event is produced as a community fundraiser by the all-volunteer “Fremont Community Foundation.” We also put on the annual Holy Cow Moosic Festival (formerly the Belvedere Blues Festival), and all the money that we raise is distributed each year to non-profit groups throughout Fremont County. We hope you can join us at the Third Annual Holy Smoke Bar-B-Que Showdown! It will be another great community fundraiser, and we guarantee you'll love our hot music and smokin'-good food!

• 12:30 to 2 pm - Salida Circus

• 4:30 to 5:30 pm - BBQ competition award ceremony

• 6:30 to 7:30 pm - Hot Diggity Weenie Dog Races
